Dr. Hunt is a licensed clinical psychologist and serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the top ranked clinical training programs in the United States. She holds a secondary appointment as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Behavioral and Community Health in the Dental School at Penn. She is also a Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.

As a clinical scientist, Dr. Hunt emphasis is on translating basic psychological science into treatments that are effective, acceptable, and accessible to patient populations. In particular, she focuses on identifying and correcting the underlying patient factors (e.g. distorted cognitions) that lead to maladaptive behavior, dysfunction, and disorder, particularly factors that contribute to poor management of physical health. Dr. Hunt also maintains an active private practice in clinical psychology.
